Sanctified: Set Apart For A Purpose

It is sometimes hard to pinpoint the purpose God has set out for us. We look at Paul and then we look at ourselves, and though we follow God with all of our hearts, there are moments we wish for a “Road to Damascus” kind of event. But the truth for most of us is that our spiritual growth has been a process spanning a number of years. Epiphany moments are rare. We struggle with purpose. We know that God has chosen us, and we know that God wants to use us as His instruments. We just don’t always know exactly what that means. Purpose is found in sanctification – the process of being set apart for sacred use, being consecrated.

God is calling us to a life of sanctification. He wants us to recognize His presence and catch a glimpse of who He is. He calls us to live in His purpose for our life – to look like Jesus, live out His character, and to shine with His light. In the end, we will see it is a wonderful life indeed
