Living In The Valley

As we continue to grow spiritually, we will not always find ourselves moving upward on our spiritual growth journey. We certainly love the mountain peaks of our spiritual journey where we can see farther and more clearly how we are growing to becoming more and more Christlike, and we thrill in the experience. But sometimes we fall backward, or we sink low, or it seems that we are spinning our wheels in useless effort. These times are the valleys in our spiritual life.

We know that life is full of peaks and valleys. It’s great to be on the peak, but we know we won’t always be there. Valleys offer us opportunities to grow, but we must recognize why we are there and look for the opportunity to climb back out. In all things we must strive to do God’s will and to glorify Him.
