Devoted

The American Heritage Dictionary defines devotion as “ardent, often selfless affection and dedication, as to a person or principle.” Acts 2:42-47 is a picture of devotion. It describes how our devotion to Jesus is lived out in daily life. A church that mirrors the person of Jesus devotes itself to deliberately sharing life in Christ. It has a heart devoted to God’s Word, fellowship with one another, breaking of bread, and prayer.

God wants our lives to be so saturated with the truth that Jesus loves us that others are drawn to the life He wants to share with each of us. That shared life calls us into a family. God’s family devotes itself to creating an environment where transformation thrives.
