Dealing with Doubt

In his first interaction with man, Satan used the tactic of doubt. Since then, this weapon, along with pride and deception, has been the foundation of virtually every attack. We hear it frequently used today by those trying to challenge the truth of Scripture by seeking to convince people that there are inconsistencies or even errors in Scripture. If Satan can get us to doubt God, then he knows that our doubt will drive us away from God. God desires us to trust and believe in His promises.

Doubt is one of Satan’s tactics at the heart of virtually every effort taken against us. Perhaps that is why Jesus spent so much of His time reinforcing who He was and what He was doing for us. Never doubt the power of our Lord to save our souls. Never doubt the love of God as He allows us to return to Him after we’ve fallen.
